Baby T's mom loves his sooooo much. By the time he was just a few months old she had tons of photos of him. Mainly though, those photos were of T and other people. Nearly every time someone else held him, she'd take a photo of them together. One day she realized since she was always the one taking photos of him, she didn't have any photos with him.
So she invited me over to capture her and her son during a break from packing to move back to Japan.
These are just a few of the photos and they're from a while ago, but I've been missing these two lately.

Back to Basics
I knew I hadn't posted here in some time, but when I went to write this post and realized it'd been nearly a month... whoops. I've been settling into the new year, working on some new opportunities, and making plans for an expanded website. Hopefully I'll be able to blog more about all that soon.
Meanwhile the weather has been... interesting. There's been a lot of gray, a color I usually like. But when it's the ground and the sky for several days straight and the sun, which barely seems to make much of an appearance, goes away completely so early, you really begin to miss colors and light - things I especially love in my photography. I told someone the other day that I wanted to to bottle the next blue sky I saw. Then I realized I sort of can.
Yes, it's a cellphone camera shot, but sometimes we have to make do with what we have and hold on to that memory of a blue sky until the next one comes along.
