Chicagoland Wedding | Genesis & Matt

Overjoyed. I think that's the word of Genesis & Matt's wedding. Joy even overflowed in the form of happy tears during one of the most emotional ceremonies I've seen. Spending a day with two people beyond thrilled to be together and surrounded by their fun-loving friends and family is definitely a nice way to spend a beautiful day. Special thanks to Sarah Barlow for inviting me along as a second photographer for this Chicagoland wedding.

During the ceremony, Matt took the microphone and told everyone about a song he'd written about Genesis. Then he sang it. He has a beautiful voice and the lyrics were incredibly heartfelt. Everyone teared up.... even Matt.... even me. 

Did I mention they were fun-loving? :) 

This wedding gave me a new personal rule - if there are weeping willows nearby, we will photograph by them (unless you have some allergy to them). 

Did you check out that cake? Those are letters the bride and groom had written to each other over the years in fondant.
